In the Cheshire Football League, there was a full league programme, as well as being divisional cup semi final day. In division 1, Pilkington were the biggest winners of the day, defeating Golborne Sports 4-0, but the game of the day was at Linotype, where the hosts Linotype/Cheadle HN edged a five goal thriller 3-2 against Knutsford. The other league winners on the day were Greenalls PSO, who defeated lowly Garswood United 2-1. The other game, between Billinge and Styal ended all level at 2-2. The 2010 first division cup final will be between top of the table Middlewich Town, who defeated Gamesley 3-1 and Crosfields/Rylands, who beat Middlewich Town, to somewhat avenge their 2009 final defeat by the same opponents.

In division 2, league leaders Maine Road Reserves kept up their good form with a 3-2 win at Congleton Town Reserves, Fourth placed Barnton failed to close the gap on the teams above them with a 3-1 home defeat by Grappenhall Sports. At the bottom end of the table, Malpas suffered a narrow 2-1 defeat at home to Daten, Warrington Town Reserves took the chance to move further away from Malpas with a 2-2 draw at Poynton. The other league game on the day saw Denton Town come away from Whitchurch with three points after a fine 2-1 win. In cup action, Monk produced a fine performance to win 1-0 at Tarporley Victoria.

In reserves division action, top of the table Middlewich Town slipped up 2-2 at home to Crosfields/Rylands, allowing Golborne Sports to go top on goal difference thanks to a 6-0 win at home to Grappenhall Sports. Third placed Pilkington kept up the chase on the leading two, with a 1-0 win at Greenalls PSO and fourth placed Linotype/Cheadle HN won 2-1 away at Styal. At the bottom of the division, Denton Town and Gamesley shared the points in an excellent 3-3 draw and the game between Daten and Poynton finished goalless. In cup action, Garswood United won through with a 4-2 home win over Billinge.
